Autumn 25 marked a significant milestone for me as I unveiled my first woven fabric collection at Focus/25 and The Longer View at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
The collection has been crafted in a 10th generation mill in England, a place where time-honoured craftsmanship and technical expertise are still at the heart of production. Designing this collection has been a deeply rewarding process, and it felt important that its debut celebrated not just the fabrics themselves, but the values behind them.
I designed the stand to feel uplifting, inviting, and full of colour; a space that champions independent design while honouring traditional British making. I was fortunate to have design assistance from my dear friend and interior designer Thea Speke, whose thoughtful eye and creative insight helped shape the final presentation.
I wanted collaboration and family run craft to be central to the launch. It was important to partner with a furniture maker who shared my passion for beautifully made, British design, which led me to Maro. Maro’s sofas are produced in a family-run workshop in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire, renowned for its sustainable practices.
Alongside the sofa and cubes from Maro which were upholstered in the new weaves, I handpicked pieces from other British craftspeople, makers and designers with a similar ethos including Edward Bulmer paint for the walls, a handcrafted side table from Alfred Newall next to a beautiful chair I found at an antiques fair which I had upholstered in our Barney print by talented upholsterer Rose Raw Rees.
I absolutely loved the five week show and it proved to be a great success. It was a joy to meet so many interior designers in person, to open hundreds of new trade accounts, and to finally put faces to names after years of emails and conversations. Those connections, both new and long-standing, were one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.
I’m now excited to share that a new collaboration is quietly brewing…one that continues my love of family-run factories and enduring craftsmanship but in a slightly different way this time!
